My Beautiful aclyric Case

Acrylic is plastic glass material, which usually use to make a lot of furniture stuffs.
all the items inside, will look transparently through the Acrylic

refer to wikipedia,
Acrylic fibers are synthetic fibers made from a polymer (Polyacrylonitrile) with an average molecular weight of ~100,000, about 1900 monomer units

so, acrylic will make a beautiful look for computer case.
I made one at ac mods
I designed it myself, and consult with the maker, mr.WK Tjun (usually call him: "ko Acun")
i made it on October 2008, and it cost me about Rp.800,000 or about ($80)

here is some pictures:

many modifications have been make with this "beautiful" case, and many peripherals has been "Home" with her...

about 8moths she accompany me and beautify my small room^^
yesterday, 15 may 2009 suddenly a computer shop from semarang (capital city of mid Java) text me and ask me "do you have a case you want to sell?"
and i responded "yes i do, but i will only sell it for 1,2 millions rupiahs"
after a negotiation, we dealt at Rp. 1,100,000,-
and that makes me decide broke up with her, and let him with another guy....LOL :p

Pros:
1. Beautiful
2. Impress people
3. it don't do electricity
4. custom able

Cons:
1. It doesn't make a good airflow
2. Hot
3. you have to clean it frequently
4. if there is a dust or some dirt material, it will shown clearly >,< JNE maybe around 15:00 PM (GMT+7)

goodbye my beautiful case, thx for this unforgettable 8months ^^, be nice with your new boy

HAF 922 "The Mini Monster"

HAF 922 known as HAF Mini
is "brother" of HAF 932, which has smaller body than his Brother.

quote from CoolerMaster:
Following the success of the full tower HAF 932, Cooler Master extends the line to a mid tower with the HAF 922. It has a rugged strong appearance and outstanding protection designs that characterize a beast yet to be tamed. Without a doubt this mid tower has it all! It accommodates all sorts of high-end hardware from its spacious interior, and supports up to three 200 mm fans for maximum airflow at minimum noise. This mid tower chassis represents a disorderly collision of machine and beast

the Specifications:

although HAF 922 come in smaller factor, it still get "WILD" with the feature from his big brother

HAF is well known with his airflow, from 200mm Intake LED FAN at front (can be replace with 120mm fan), 200mm Exhaust Fan at the Top (can be replace with 2x120mm fan), 120mm exhaust Fan at Rear, 200mm Optional fan at side panel (can be replace with 2x120mm fan), and optional 120mm fan at the bottom.
Will make sure you get the MAXIMUM airflow

here is youtube video of HAF 922:

HAF 922 will arrive at indonesia about JULY..or two months from this post T_T
and it'll goes about $130, not so expansive for MONSTER case like this^^

Overclocking the i7

Overclocking...what is overclocking?

for u who confuse about over clocking, overclocking is:
"Overclocking is the process of running a computer component at a higher clock rate (more clock cycles per second) than it was designed for or was specified by the manufacturer, usually practiced by personal computer enthusiasts seeking an increase in the performance of their computers. " from wikipedia

maybe later, i'll post an Overclocking Guide

now, here is time to play with i7

as u know, i7 based clock is 2,66 GHZ with default vcore 1,25, here is 3D Mark Vantage score in default setting:
Procie clock : 2,66ghz
vcore : 1,25 V
Mem Clock : 1600 cl9
VDimm : 1,65 V
Mobo : Asus P6T
VGA : Albatron GeForce 9800GX2 default setting
and the score is : P13181

1st test is to get at 3,6GHZ or about 1GHZ from default clock. with settings:
Procie clock : 3,6ghz
Multiplier: 20
BLCK : 180
vcore : 1,4 V
QPI : 1,39V
IOH : 1,36V
PLL : 1,86V
Mem Clock : 1600 cl9
DimmCore : 1,65 V
Mobo : Asus P6T
VGA : Albatron GeForce 9800GX2 default setting
and the score is : P13357

and last, i ty to overclock it at 4ghz without changing the VCORE, and it' work stable ^^
Procie clock : 4ghz
Multiplier: 20
BLCK : 200
vcore : 1,4 V
QPI : 1,45V
IOH : 1,36V
PLL : 1,9V
Mem Clock : 1600 cl9
DimmCore : 1,65 V
Mobo : Asus P6T
VGA : Albatron GeForce 9800GX2 default setting
and the score is : P1343o

so, who p6T motherboard really can do a nice overclocking, and stable for daily.. i decided to go for 4,2GHZ...but i haven't found the optimal settings, so later i'll post it

and here is my overclocking rig:

i7 on My room

Hi ^^

It's been a while since my last post.

Having a lot of works to do, and just finished my exam.

YUP..like my Post Title, I finally GOT my Intel Core i7 " The fastest processor on earth" (when i write this post)

after months, thinking so hard, saving some money, and finally i decide to say goodbye to LGA 775 and DDR2.
I'm Very lucky, when i buy i7 Platform, the rate of USD is @ Rp. 10.800,- it's been a while since $1 = Rp. 12.000-13.000

so, let's see the platform:

1. Intel Core i7 920

Intel smart Cache : 8MB
Clock Speed : 2,66GHZ
QPI : 4,6GT/s
DDR3 Speed: 800/1066
Intergrated Memory Controller : 3channels. 2dimm/ch
Intel HT : 8 Threads processing

i bought it for : Rp. 3,200,000,-

2. Asus P6T

  • Intel LGA1366 Platform
  • Intel® X58/ ICH10R chipset
  • ASUS TurboV
  • 3-Way SLI & Quad-GPU CrossFireX Support!
  • ASUS Drive Xpert
  • ASUS EPU
  • ASUS 8+2 Phase Power Design
  • 100% Japan-made Solid Capacitor
    VRM 5000hrs lifespan @105°C, 500,000hrs @65°C

  • i bought it for : Rp. 2.800.000,-

    3. Gskill F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ

    • Speed: DDR3-1600 (PC3 12800)
    • CAS Latency: 9-9-9-24
    • Capacity: 3GB (1GB x 3) / 6GB (2GB x 3)
    • Voltage: 1.5~1.6 Volts
    • PCB: 6 Layers
    • Registered/Unbuffered: Unbuffered
    • Error Checking: Non-ECC
    • Type: 240-pin DIMM
    • Warranty: Lifetime
and I bought it for : Rp. 1,450,000

and for the performance and test, i will post it later.
overall i7 platform is worth to buy^^ although the price is still high, but the performance tells u differnt ^^
