HAF 922 in the house

It's been Three months since my last update..hahaha

how lazy i am...:p

for sure this blog was to fulfill my Web Based programming subject..hehehe but suddenly, i think i need to let myself write something everyday..hehehe

in my last article, i've made a simple review about Computer case Cooler Master HAF 922...i wanted it so bad..and finally i bought it..hihi

here some picture of my HAF 922:

as u can see....isn't it very MACHO?hehe

let's see the inside:

as you can see...it's so roomy, big space for your computer, although HAF 922 is a mid-tower Case..btw it was my V8...hehehe but sold it already ^^

now let's see the cable management:

wow...the cable so messy..hahah
yeah i'm lazy to tidy it up ^^ but from the pictures above, we can see that this Mini Monster comes with great CABLE MANAGEMENT system ^^
n it also have a hole at the back panel, so u don't need to remove the motherboard if you want to change the HSF...

yup Overall..i Love this Case...i don't regret to bought it at the first shipping^^

My Beautiful aclyric Case

Acrylic is plastic glass material, which usually use to make a lot of furniture stuffs.
all the items inside, will look transparently through the Acrylic

refer to wikipedia,
Acrylic fibers are synthetic fibers made from a polymer (Polyacrylonitrile) with an average molecular weight of ~100,000, about 1900 monomer units

so, acrylic will make a beautiful look for computer case.
I made one at ac mods
I designed it myself, and consult with the maker, mr.WK Tjun (usually call him: "ko Acun")
i made it on October 2008, and it cost me about Rp.800,000 or about ($80)

here is some pictures:

many modifications have been make with this "beautiful" case, and many peripherals has been "Home" with her...

about 8moths she accompany me and beautify my small room^^
yesterday, 15 may 2009 suddenly a computer shop from semarang (capital city of mid Java) text me and ask me "do you have a case you want to sell?"
and i responded "yes i do, but i will only sell it for 1,2 millions rupiahs"
after a negotiation, we dealt at Rp. 1,100,000,-
and that makes me decide broke up with her, and let him with another guy....LOL :p

Pros:
1. Beautiful
2. Impress people
3. it don't do electricity
4. custom able

Cons:
1. It doesn't make a good airflow
2. Hot
3. you have to clean it frequently
4. if there is a dust or some dirt material, it will shown clearly >,< JNE maybe around 15:00 PM (GMT+7)

goodbye my beautiful case, thx for this unforgettable 8months ^^, be nice with your new boy

HAF 922 "The Mini Monster"

HAF 922 known as HAF Mini
is "brother" of HAF 932, which has smaller body than his Brother.

quote from CoolerMaster:
Following the success of the full tower HAF 932, Cooler Master extends the line to a mid tower with the HAF 922. It has a rugged strong appearance and outstanding protection designs that characterize a beast yet to be tamed. Without a doubt this mid tower has it all! It accommodates all sorts of high-end hardware from its spacious interior, and supports up to three 200 mm fans for maximum airflow at minimum noise. This mid tower chassis represents a disorderly collision of machine and beast

the Specifications:

although HAF 922 come in smaller factor, it still get "WILD" with the feature from his big brother

HAF is well known with his airflow, from 200mm Intake LED FAN at front (can be replace with 120mm fan), 200mm Exhaust Fan at the Top (can be replace with 2x120mm fan), 120mm exhaust Fan at Rear, 200mm Optional fan at side panel (can be replace with 2x120mm fan), and optional 120mm fan at the bottom.
Will make sure you get the MAXIMUM airflow

here is youtube video of HAF 922:

HAF 922 will arrive at indonesia about JULY..or two months from this post T_T
and it'll goes about $130, not so expansive for MONSTER case like this^^

Overclocking the i7

Overclocking...what is overclocking?

for u who confuse about over clocking, overclocking is:
"Overclocking is the process of running a computer component at a higher clock rate (more clock cycles per second) than it was designed for or was specified by the manufacturer, usually practiced by personal computer enthusiasts seeking an increase in the performance of their computers. " from wikipedia

maybe later, i'll post an Overclocking Guide

now, here is time to play with i7

as u know, i7 based clock is 2,66 GHZ with default vcore 1,25, here is 3D Mark Vantage score in default setting:
Procie clock : 2,66ghz
vcore : 1,25 V
Mem Clock : 1600 cl9
VDimm : 1,65 V
Mobo : Asus P6T
VGA : Albatron GeForce 9800GX2 default setting
and the score is : P13181

1st test is to get at 3,6GHZ or about 1GHZ from default clock. with settings:
Procie clock : 3,6ghz
Multiplier: 20
BLCK : 180
vcore : 1,4 V
QPI : 1,39V
IOH : 1,36V
PLL : 1,86V
Mem Clock : 1600 cl9
DimmCore : 1,65 V
Mobo : Asus P6T
VGA : Albatron GeForce 9800GX2 default setting
and the score is : P13357

and last, i ty to overclock it at 4ghz without changing the VCORE, and it' work stable ^^
Procie clock : 4ghz
Multiplier: 20
BLCK : 200
vcore : 1,4 V
QPI : 1,45V
IOH : 1,36V
PLL : 1,9V
Mem Clock : 1600 cl9
DimmCore : 1,65 V
Mobo : Asus P6T
VGA : Albatron GeForce 9800GX2 default setting
and the score is : P1343o

so, who p6T motherboard really can do a nice overclocking, and stable for daily.. i decided to go for 4,2GHZ...but i haven't found the optimal settings, so later i'll post it

and here is my overclocking rig:

i7 on My room

Hi ^^

It's been a while since my last post.

Having a lot of works to do, and just finished my exam.

YUP..like my Post Title, I finally GOT my Intel Core i7 " The fastest processor on earth" (when i write this post)

Will you do something like this for your Father?

NVIDIA GTX 295, a very Expensive GPU for a PC, cost about $500(or about Rp5,000,000).
    Can u imagin
    e u Have 23 GTX 295 in your rooms?

Jason Farqué, a blogger who also is a folding fellow (read:
    Home Computer can cure Alzheimer's?), made a server with 9pcs MSI 295s, 14 EVGA 295s (EVGA...>,< a GTX 260 and a 9800GT.... WOW!!!

if i calculate, it will be (23 x $500) + (1x$300) + (1x$90) = $11,890 (about Rp.118,900,000 rate$1=Rp10,000) only for GPUs, not include the motherboards and processors, and other peripherals.

What Makes him waste a lot of money?
like i said in my laste article
Home Computer can cure Alzheimer's?, Folding@Home is a project computing to calculate protein for making cure for a lot of disease

    Jason's Father
suffer Huntington's Disease (a kind of neuro disease), that's why he want to contribute in this project.

Wow...when i read about this for the 1st time, i feel so touch and very proud of him.

    This is Jason's Server:

and here is the youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjOW5iW7dJQ

    SO....^^
will you do something like this for your father?
Although we don't cost 23 GTX 295, but at least will we sacrifice a lot of things in order to save people we love?

    news source : detik

    Home Computer can cure Alzheimer's?

    YES!!! It can...

maybe u know, Nowadays PC/Computer is an important tools for scientist in finding and process many scientific project, such as Disease and Protein.

But,how a common people can involve and participate in this scientific project?

Stanford University has developed a distributed computing program called Folding@Home, which uses a small amount of processing power from your computer (and of many others around the world) to perform medical research. The Folding@Home project has already made substantial progress.

How can you do this "Folding@Home"?
Setup is simple - all you need is a computer and an Internet Connection. Simply download and run the Folding@Home Program from Stanford's Website.

When you run the program for the first time, it will ask you for a team number. Please be sure to join CHIP Indonesia Folding Fellow by entering Team Number 38608. As for your username, it's best that you use your current username from CHIP Forum(If You don't have, just create one ^^), so that it will be easier to identify you during events or contests in the future.

For more detailed information about the project, please see the official Folding@Home Website.

How bout me? I've participated in 38608 Team also ^^ since September 2008,with id hongo_takeshi.id and now i'm 34th at my team...but i have a problem in internet connection which makes me cannot access folding anymore..iks2

I HOPE YOU who read this, have interest to participate, to save people, our friends, and our family

    Green Computing System (GCS)

Hi...This is me...n this is my first posting ever :p

One of many things i'm good at is about technology, especially computer. that's why i choose this topic to be my first post.^^

    what is Green Computing System?
todays, Global warming is a serious issue for the world. U should be known what the global warming's effect for earth when you read this post.
One of many industries that blames for causes of Global Warming is IT industries, which products cause many wasted energy.

That's why many IT vendors, race to create their "Green" Products, which save more energy but do a great performance.
ROHS << do you know what this symbol means?

ROHS commonly referred to as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive
This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment.

RoHS is often referred to as the lead-free directive, but it restricts the use of the following six substances:

    1. Lead
    2. Mercury
    3. Cadmium
    4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+)
    5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
    6. Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
So always buys Computer product, which has ROHS sticker.^^

and now, i'll show u my GREEN SYSTEM ^^

"WOW"...maybe that's your first impression of my sytem..."GREEDY and WASTED ENERGY", and that will be your 2nd opinion bout my system...hahaha
Although, mw system looks "GREEDY and WASTED ENERGY", but they're not at all.. and has pass ROHS compliment in every part ^^

so happy computing and always choose ROHS product..and SAVE OUR EARTH ^^
